KEY WORDS:
What Is a Hair Transplant?
It's a type of surgery that moves hair you already have to fill an area with thin or no hair. Doctors have been doing these transplants in the U.S. since the 1950s, but techniques have changed a lot in recent years. You usually have the procedure in the doctor's office. First, the surgeon cleans your scalp and injects medicine to numb the back of your head. Your doctor will choose one of two methods for the transplant: follicular unit strip surgery (FUSS) or follicular unit extraction (FUE). With FUSS, the surgeon removes a 6- to 10-inch strip of skin from the back of your head. He sets it aside and sews the scalp closed. This area is immediately hidden by the hair around it. Next, the surgeon’s team divides the strip of removed scalp into 500 to 2,000 tiny grafts, each with an individual hair or just a few hairs. The number and type of graft you get depends on your hair type, quality, color, and the size of the area where you’re getting the transplant. If you’re getting the FUE procedure, the surgeon’s team will shave the back of your scalp. Then, the doctor will remove hair follicles one by one from there. The area heals with small dots, which your existing hair will cover. After that point, both procedures are the same. After he prepares the grafts, the surgeon cleans and numbs the area where the hair will go, creates holes or slits with a scalpel or needle, and delicately places each graft in one of the holes. He’ll probably get help from other team members to plant the grafts, too. Depending on the size of the transplant you’re getting, the process will take about 4 to 8 hours. You might need another procedure later on if you continue to lose hair or decide you want thicker hair. Expectations and Recovery After the surgery, your scalp may be very tender. You may need to take pain medications for several days. Your surgeon will have you wear bandages over your scalp for at least a day or two. He may also prescribe an antibiotic or an anti-inflammatory Within 2 to 3 weeks after surgery, the transplanted hair will fall out, but you should start to notice new growth within a few months. Most people will see 60% of new hair growth after 6 to 9 months. Some surgeons prescribe the hair-growing drug minoxidil (Rogaine) to improve hair growth after transplantation, but it’s not clear how well it works. Risks and Costs of Treatment The price of a hair transplant will depend largely on the amount of hair you’re moving, but it generally ranges from $4,000 to $15,000. Most insurance plans don’t cover it. As with any kind of surgery, transplants have some risks, including bleeding and infection. There’s also the chance for scarring and unnatural-looking new hair growth. Around the time new locks start to grow, some people have inflammation or an infection of the hair follicles, called folliculitis. Antibiotics and compresses can relieve the problem. It’s also possible to suddenly lose some of the original hair in the area where you got the new strands, called shock loss. But most of the time, it’s not permanent. Talk with your doctor about these risks and how much improvement you’re likely to get from the surgery. He can help you decide if it's a good option for you. hair transplant, hair transplant in kolkata, hair transplant in kolkata in low cost, best hair transplant clinic in kolkata, hair transplant surgery, hair transplant kolkata, hair transplant in india, hair transplant in hyderabad, kolkata hair transplant, dhi hair transplant in kolkata, fue hair transplant in kolkata, hair transplant in kolkata cost, best hair transplant in kolkata hair transplant, fue hair transplant, hair transplant surgery, hair transplant cost, best hair transplant, hair restoration, hair loss, hair transplantation, hair transplant before and after, hair, hair transplant video, transplant, best hair transplant in india, hair transplant nyc, hair growth, hair transplants, hair transplant surgeon, robotic hair transplant, hair transplant results, hair loss treatment, hair plugs, hair regrowth hair transplant, hair transplant kolkata, hair transplant west bengal, hair transplant cost, hair transplant surgery, fue hair transplant, hair transplantation, hair transplant in bangladesh, hair transplant in india, hair transplant cost in india, hair transplant in kolkata, cost of hair transplant in india, best hair transplant in kolkata, cost of hair transplant in kolkata, best hair transplant clinic in kolkata hair transplant, best hair transplant, fue hair transplant, hair transplant surgery, hair transplant cost, hair transplant results, hair transplant clinic, best hair transplant in india, cost of hair transplant, hair transplant video, hair transplantation, best hair transplant in delhi, best hair transplant center, hair transplant turkey, hair restoration, best hair transplant clinic, best hair transplant clinic in india

DOES PRP HAIR TREATMENT WORK? PRP has long been used by medical professionals to promote healing and accelerate recovery in numerous situations, including post-surgical recovery, the treatment of injuries such as fractures or injured ligaments, and in cosmetic treatments promoting skin rejuvenation. PRP’s effectiveness in hair restoration is finding more and more support in the scientific community. One study titled “Platelet-Rich Plasma in Androgenic Alopecia” published in the Journal of Cutaneous and Aesthetic Surgery in 2014 concluded “Considering its excellent safety profile and relatively low cost, PRP hair treatment is a promising treatment option for patients with thinning hair.” The 2017 article: “Injections of platelet-rich plasma for androgenic alopecia: A systematic review” published in the Journal of stomatology, oral and maxillofacial surgery reported the majority of PRP studies “reported a significant increase of hair density” and concluded “overall, the use of PRP injections in patients with androgenic alopecia seems effective with respect to promoting lost hair regrowth, decreasing hair loss and increasing hair thickness.” The study also noted “No major adverse effect was reported in the 14 clinical studies.” The Asian Journal of Transfusion Science published the Efficacy of platelet-rich plasma in treatment of androgenic alopecia in 2015 finding “three months after the treatment, the patients presented clinical improvement in the hair counts, hair thickness, hair root strength, and overall alopecia.” The study concluded “PRP appears to be a cheap, effective, and promising therapy for androgenic alopecia with no major adverse effects.” How fast does hair really grow? We are born with the total amount of hair follicles we will ever have over our lifetime. There may be about 5 million on our body, but our head has about 100,000 follicles. As we age, some follicles stop producing hair, which is how baldness or hair thinning occurs. The American Academy of Dermatology says that hair grows about 1/2 inch per month on average. That's a grand total of about 6 inches per year for the hair on your head. How fast your hair grows will depend on your: age specific hair type overall health other health conditions Science has discovered a little bit about how hair growth is controlled at the cellular level in the body, but not enough to know how we can directly speed up hair growth. Read on to learn about the science behind hair growth and how to use that knowledge for healthier hair. The stages of hair growth Hair grows in three stages, and each strand of hair follows its own timeline. These three stages are: anagen: active growth phase of hair that lasts 2-8 years catagen: transition phase where hair stops growing, lasts 4-6 weeks telogen: resting phase where hair falls out, lasts 2-3 months The average scalp has 90-95 percent of the hair follicles in anagen phase. This means about 5-10 percent are in the telogen phase, which accounts for the 100-150 hairs that fall out every day. Can you increase the anagen phase for hair growth? How long the anagen phase lasts depends on how long your hair is and if the cells in your follicle base are continuing to multiply and become hair cells. Hair grows because matrix cells shed some of their structure as they reach the upper follicle. The shed structure combines with keratins to form hair strands that exit your skin’s surface. Researchers are still looking into what triggers our bodies to "turn on" the anagen phases. But there are steps you can take to promote healthy hair during the anagen phase.

FUE Hair transplant in Bangladesh Hair loss Treatments Niramoy Speciality Clinic +91-8343909909 www.niramoyclinic.com Patients often ask about our hair transplant surgery success rate. It’s an important question given that this procedure can be a significant emotional and financial investment. At HRBR our studies have shown that 98% of all the grafts we place will eventually grow normal hair. The success of a hair transplant is frequently judged by the appearance of the patient’s hair after the transplant has fully grown which normally takes a year. The success of the procedure is best judged by the patient as trying to meet the patient’s expectations is the primary objective of the surgeon. In the consultation process, when the patient first attends the doctor, they frequently ask how successful this procedure is and our response is that this depends on what the patient’s objectives are and the quality of the donor hair. In a non-smoker between 95-98% of the grafts will grow successfully provided the highest international standards of surgery are used in the transplant procedure, such as those used at HRBR.
